Patrick D. Walker, M.D.

Chairman

Patrick D. Walker, M.D. has more than twenty-five years of experience in the interpretation of native kidney and renal allograft biopsies. Before becoming Director of NephroPath, he was the Assistant Chief, and later Chief of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the John L. McClellan Veterans Administration Hospital, and Vice-Chairman of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He has published more than sixty papers in peer-reviewed journals and has written several book chapters including "Glomerular Diseases" and "Major Non-Glomerular Disorders" in the widely acclaimed Cecil: Essentials of Medicine.

Mark McCuin

President

Mark has built his career in and around the insurance, healthcare, and financial services industries, with a particular focus on Information Technology. Prior to Pathagility, he served as Vice President of USAble Life with management oversight of operations and IT of USAble’s TPA claims subsidiary. Prior to being promoted to VP, Mark served as Business Development Manager with responsibility for increasing revenue by cultivating client, partner, and vendor relationships. During his five-year tenure at Fidelity Information Services, Mark held positions of increasing responsibility related to enterprise software implementation, vendor relationship management, and sales strategy/support.

Kyle Harrell

Director of Business Development

Kyle has seven years of sales experience in healthcare, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and anatomic pathology in the New York and Texas markets. Kyle has held various sales positions with organizations such as Forest Pharmaceuticals, Tripath Imaging and Ameripath. Kyle brings a wealth of sales experience, domain-specific knowledge and industry contacts to the Pathagility team. Prior to entering the healthcare market, Kyle held various football coaching positions, including a stint at Texas State University.

Kristian Andersen

Director of Marketing

Kristian Andersen is the founder and president of Kristian Andersen + Associates, a brand experience design firm founded in 1997. Kristian has played a key role in defining and shaping the brands of countless businesses. During the course of Kristian's professional career, he has consulted in the advertising, entertainment, technology, healthcare, insurance and communication industries. Kristian’s primary area of professional focus is in assisting technology-focused start-ups at defining their brand identity, business strategy, and product positioning.

Michael D. Heckman

Director of Engineering

After working as a Senior Software Engineer in the Business Technology Innovation unit for Citicorp Data Systems, San Antonio, Texas, Michael Heckman was hired as the Information Technology Director of the leading anatomic pathology practices, Ameripath South Texas in San Antonio, Texas, a branch of Ameripath, Inc. While serving in this capacity, Michael developed several innovative products and applications that gave Ameripath a leading edge through the services offered to their customers that lead to substantial sales and servicing. Michael is also the Chief Information Officer for Genesis Concepts & Consultants, LLC, based in San Antonio, Texas, which specializes in Training and Identity Management solutions for the Department of Defense, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and Marine Corps.

K. Denise Norwood

In parallel to Denise's responsibility with Pathagility, she serves as Director of Marketing and Client Relations at NephroPath. Denise has more than seven years experience in marketing and information technology. Denise also has spent five years specifically focused in the pathology laboratory world. Having served as Manager of a major anatomic pathology software implementation, Denise has a detailed understanding of how pathology software should function on a day-to-day basis. She is also trained in transcription and laboratory workflow. Before entering the healthcare market, Denise worked in marketing consulting as a Client Manager with a focus on the IT sector. This included collaborating with companies such as Siemens, Hewlett Packard, and Adobe Systems.
